My Rating: 5/5
It is rare that an episode of TV deserves a 5/5 rating, but Arrow earned it!
This episode was the best thing Arrow has done since season 2! It was nostalgia-filled, back to the origins of the show. What a relief!
Everything in this episode fit. It was a self-contained story that worked well. That doesn’t happen very often in CW’s Arrowverse… I think Arrow is going to take us on a ride that will make us both happy and crying out eyes out, but it’s worth it.
Crisis is certainly the focus of the Arrowverse right now, and they’ve finally made it interesting! I am now on the edge of my seat, but I just hope the plots of the episodes aren’t sacrificed. (I’m talking about the Arrowverse as a whole, as Arrow is basically only about the Crisis!).
The flashes into the future are fun and the characters that were well defined in season 7 are settling in to their new roles. I’m not sure if I like them enough to care whether they get their own show or not, but they certainly bulk out the episode. They almost detract from the amazing plot with Oliver so I’m hoping they get better.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next episode!!
