The Dark Prophecy (The Trials of Apollo #2) by Rick Riordan: A Review

The second book in the the latest series from Percy Jackson creator Rick Riordan. The god Apollo, stuck in the body of a teenage boy, must undergo the second of his trials to regain his immortality. (Goodreads)

My Review

My Rating: 4/5

As The Burning Maze just came out recently, I thought I should finish reading this book!

Riordan does an incredible job of making his characters witty and sarcastic but also characterises them with a depth that comes as a surprise. Apollo’s depth was unexpected but a nice surprise all the same.

As always with these books, it was fast-paced, exciting, there were twists along the journey, and we were left wanting to read the next book at the end (luck for me it came out a few days ago!).
