The Traitor Queen (Traitor Spy Trilogy #3) by Trudi Canavan: Book Review

Events are building to a climax in Sachaka as Lorkin returns from his exile with the Traitor rebels. The Traitor Queen has given Lorkin the huge task of brokering an alliance between his people and the Traitors. Lorkin has also had to become a feared black magician in order to harness the power of an entirely new kind of gemstone magic. This knowledge could transform the Guild of Magicians – or make Lorkin an outcast forever. (Goodreads)

My Review

My Rating: 4/5

A bit of a disappointing end to a brilliant series with endless possibilities.

The character development of Sonea was small, but that is to be expected as she has been stretched out by two trilogies. Lorkin’s character is fantastic, however.

I think Canavan should leave this world how it is and add no more to it, but that won’t stop me reading any more that she might publish in the future! I’m looking forward to starting her newest series, Millennium’s Rule, later on this year.
