I’m not going to lie – I was a little disappointed.
The whole series was great and was building up to a grand finale but I don’t feel like that’s what we got – we got about 150 pages of uncomplicated action and it ended.
I would say that this is because of the age-group it is targeted at but the finale to Riordan’s previous series Percy Jackson and the Olympians was very complex and exciting.
Other than that, I was happy with the loose ends that were tied up and the general resolutions to the characters’ stories.
Throughout the book, I found myself laughing at things said because of the brilliant wit that some of the characters have (Like Leo and Percy), and it was a satisfying read.
