My Rating: 4/5
I really loved this book.
It was great to finally see the seven demigods together and working as a team. I think that Riordan did a fantastic job of splitting them up into separate groups for the adventures throughout the novel.
We follow Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo, and their Satyr/Faun friend, Coach Hedge on their first adventures as a complete team and it’s not disappointing at all!
They fight with sea monsters, nymphs, pirates, and very old enemies (can’t spoil it with specifics), with some grudging help from a couple of Gods/Goddesses now and again (if you could call it ‘help’)
This book is the third in the Heroes of Olympus series and even though it didn’t push the main plot much further along than the last two did, it was still a great read. It was full of adventure, cheesy gags, and some wonderful, subtle nods to the original series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
