The Titan’s Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #3) by Rick Riordan: A Review

IT’S NOT EVERYDAY YOU FIND YOURSELF IN COMBAT WITH A HALF-LION, HALF-HUMAN.
But when you’re the son of a Greek god, it happens. And now my friend Annabeth is missing, a goddess is in chains and only five half-blood heroes can join the quest to defeat the doomsday monster.
Oh, and guess what? The Oracle has predicted that not all of us will survive… (Goodreads)
My Review
Rating: 3/5
This is not what I was expecting. I did enjoy it and I would highly suggest reading it if you are reading through the series, however it just wasn’t the most exciting novel Riordan’s written.
I thought the character developments were interesting and the run-ins with more Gods/Titans/Monsters were enthralling however I felt like the books almost “ran out of steam” here.
The novels do get so much better (I have read all of this series) and this one is important to the main plot so it should be read. The are still laughs and some Greek Mythology bad-ass-ness which is fun too!
